Wedding Cupcake Tower

This beautiful cupcake setup was for a lovely wedding at the Morgan Creek Golf Course.

120 cupcakes:

       Devils Food w/ white chocolate buttercream

       Coconut w/ vanilla buttercream

       Lemon w/ lemon buttercream

       Egg-free chocolate w/ vanilla buttercream

The cutting cake was a 6" devils food cake layered with cookies & cream filling and finished with vanilla buttercream



These cookie favours were made to match the decor and were placed at each table setting for guests.

Such a lovely day it was for a wedding. Summer has officially arrived in British Columbia!

A Pirate Birthday

A quick Disney Junior's Jake & the Neverland Pirates Birthday set. Personalized bag toppers jazzed these up nicely!

Cookies & Cream....... and Kahlua!

I think this is my all-time favourite dessert - the Kahlua Cookie Torte

Besides being super delicious, it's so easy to put together. Cookies, whipped cream and Kahlua are layered and after 8 hours in the fridge the torte has set enough to slice and serve. (I usually have a hard time waiting that long so I make a mini for me to snack on. lol)

Leftovers are even more delicious after a couple of days.....if it lasts that long!

Pretty in Pink

Sweet and petite cake. Cascading blossoms on 4" and 6" pale pink tiers.

I was going to leave it without a border but I think the pearl edge makes the cake look finished.

Beach wedding

I had the pleasure of creating cookie favors for my cousins' beautiful beach wedding. Liberally packed in bubble wrap, these delicate cookies survived a 6 hour flight to the Mayan Riviera in my checked baggage.

Simple cookies for a simply beautiful day! Each cookie is adorned with monogram and piped starfish, sand dollar and seashell. Packaged in a cello bag with raffia and nesting in brown sugar "sand".

Do-it-yourself cake stands

I made these all by myself with just a few supplies and each one cost only a couple of dollars!

All I needed to create these was:

- a plate or saucer

- glass or candle holder

- all-purpose adhesive sealant

- frosted glass spray

- spray paint (I used Rustoleum gloss finish from Home Depot)

I adore these cake stands and the fact that I can create them in any size or colour I desire. Yippee!!!

Now to bake some cookies to display.......

Happy New Year!!!

I can't believe 2012 is here already!

2011 was an exciting year for me. My partner and I made a cross country move to Vancouver, in favour of west coast living. Having been here for over 6 months now, we are well settled into our apartment and are still in awe of the beauty that surrounds us.....mountains, ocean, forests. It's pretty amazing!
